Our Pre-School’s Philosophy

Providing the opportunity for quality education and care for all local community children

Core Values

We are committed to providing all children with the opportunity to experience quality education and care. Through our pre-school program and as part of our mission to play an active and integral role within the local community.

Early Childhood Stages include rapid intellectual growth, social, physical and emotional development.

Early Childhood Stages

A child’s formative years (between the ages of 0 and 8) are critical in shaping their future journey. With rapid intellectual growth (cognitive), social, physical and emotional development. Our pre-school programs, along with our open-door policy, are designed to help us provide better outcomes for children.

Learning support through enriching play that's relevant and meaningful to each child.

Learning Support

We aim to nurture and support learning through enriching play that’s relevant and meaningful to each child. Our educators advocate for children and have their best interests at heart.

We practice and encourage open communication with children and families to develop trust and respect, and ultimately build strong relationships.

Pre-School Program and Practices

Our team of educators are actively engaged in continual professional development along with critical reflection practices to improve outcomes for children in our care. We practice and encourage open communication with children and families to develop trust and respect, and ultimately build strong relationships.

We encourage local families to connect with and get involved with other local services as part of our objective to develop local community support.

Local Community Support

We aim to develop and foster relationships with our local organisations by helping and encouraging local families to connect with, and get involved with other local services.

Pre-School Curriculum based on the national Early Years Learning Framework.

Pre-School Curriculum

Our educators continually plan and assess children’s learning based on the national Early Years Learning Framework curriculum. We believe that working in partnership with children helps to build their knowledge to share in decision making. By providing experiences that promote respect, wellbeing, identity, relationships with others and a sense of self and belonging within the local community.

Sense of belonging from an inclusive environment.

Sense Of Belonging

We provide an inclusive environment through group gatherings, for children to be heard and develop their ability to listen to others, and feel a sense of belonging.

We facilitate learning through sustainable practices, encouraging children to care for their environment every day.

Sustainable Practices

We facilitate learning through sustainable practices, encouraging children to care for their environment every day. Exploring ways to reduce our carbon footprint from man-made products and being more aware of how we use natural resources such as water.

We encourage awareness of our community diversity.

Culture of Diversity

We encourage awareness, acceptance and understanding of our community diversity, including the indigenous heritage of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, international cultures and other differences.
