Parent Committee-Run Pre-School
Our pre-school is a community-based, non-profit making organisation. Run by a committee of parents and other community members. We rely on attendance fees, a State Government subsidy and fundraising to operate as a successful pre-school.
Team of Educators/Teachers
All our staff are qualified and experienced and where possible, we offer a higher staff to child ratio to provide an enriching and quality educational experience for all children in our care. We apply an open door policy with families, children and the community, so we can build and maintain meaningful relationships.
Pre-School Performance
As part of our mission to play a pivotal role within the local community, we value transparency and accountability when it comes to our pre-school performance. We are assessed on the Education and Care Services National Law and National Regulations. Our programs follow the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF). And we are also assessed and rated by the National Quality Standard (NQS) for early childhood, to provide the highest quality education and care for all local community children.
Licensed Pre-School
We are licensed for children to attend our pre-school from the age of three to five years old.
We are licensed by the Early Childhood and Care Directorate and the NSW Department of Education and Communities. We comply with the Children’s Services Regulation set by the Department. Participating in regular assessments and the rating process as and when required by each licensing authority.
In the Community
Scone and District Pre-School has been an integral part of the local community at our current location since 1985 we provide an educational program for 3-5 year old children. Our Pre-School has an elected parent committee every year to ensure its operation and to provide support for our team.
